S received notice the other morning that he would be receiving an award. This was a little bit of a shock considering the problems he has been having at work. However, God always seems to know when things are getting tough and we need a little encouragement.
The Perchard Trophy is given to Coast Guard air-crewmen that have demonstrated outstanding performance of duty and exemplified "the high standards of character, professionalism, ability and leadership."
My family consist of my husband, Scott and our two girls Alisha and Brianna. My husband and I were married in March 2007 and found out shortly afterwards that we were expecting our first daughter, Alisha. She was born in February 2008 and shortly afterward we were expecting our second Brianna. She came in April 2009. The first three years of our married lives have had many surprises that have increased our faith in Jesus Christ and Allowed us to grow even closer together and to God.
I recently completed my bachelors in Social Work from the University of South Florida. However, God has blessed our family so that I do not have to work and can instead stay home with our two girls and raise them to be the women God desires them to be.
Our family is currently stationed in Clearwater Florida with the U.S. Coast Guard. My husband is in aviation on the C-130. The CG is like every other military branch and therefore requires us to transfer every four years. This year we will be transferring to Kodiak, Alaska. We are very excited and can't wait to experience the adventures God has before us.
