Crazy First Weekend!!

Our first week in Ga has been great. We've been able to visit with family, relax (S is still trying to figure out how to do that), catch up with friends and get things together for the move. While the week was fairly relaxing this weekend we hit the floor running first thing Sat. morning and didn't stop until Mon. By Mon. night I hurt from head to toe and was about ready to pass out when the girls went down!
Sat started with a yard sale, that we weren't sure S was going to get to help with since he was running a fever all day Fri and didn't get out of the bed until supper time and that was only to go to the clinic to get medicine. He only had sinusitis so with medicine on board he was able to function Sat. We had hit town just in time to learn that there was going to be a community yard sale at the square, so we had reserved a spot earlier and it was perfect. So we were up by 5am Sat and set up for an all day yard sale. I enjoy yardsale-ing however I'm gaining a newer appreciation for it every time I go or have one. This weekend we were able to sale just about everything we had, with the exception of a few minor pieces and brought in just over $400. We were thrilled!! Especially since we had thought $100 would have been a good day! I had to leave the yard sale early so S and his parents finished it up around 3pm.
Leaving the yard sale my sister-in-law and I went to the annual Pilot clubs fundraiser, the Wee Bit. It is a sample of different businesses around Moultrie, this year it was a fashion show, with clothes provided by Turners. It was a nice luncheon and I got to see some people that I hadn't had a chance to visit with before. Leaving there we headed out of town to pick up the cake for my brother and sister-in-laws baby shower that would be on Sunday. We got back in town just in time for everyone helping with the shower to show up and start cleaning. The women and children spent the rest of Sat cleaning and visiting while all of our husbands went to a bachelor party. They stayed out most of the night reminiscing about high school and bachelor days. I'm glad they got the chance to relax and visit since we put them work the next morning cleaning and finishing details for the shower.
Sunday was full of the baby shower and more cleaning. It was a wonderful weekend although very full. Now that we have had a chance to recover some from the weekend we are back to packing, sorting, relaxing, and enjoying our visit.
